The glider edition of the Aeronautical Chart ICAO 1:500,000 uses the metric system. With its clear topography and up-to-date aeronautical information, the ICAO glider chart offers gliders enhanced safety and flexibility for their flights.

The ICAO Glider Chart consists of eight individual chart sheets.
This chart is of paper and folded. On request you can also select from the following types:

• Aerodromes with name, location indicator and frequency, length and direction of the runway, information on direction finders, aerodrome beacons and the traffic circuit and a diagram of the aerodrome elevation

• Radio navigation aids (NDB, VOR, VOR/DME, VORTAC) with name, frequency and Morse Code identification

Note: Due to European standardisation, the DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung will change a number of colors in the depitiction of airspace as well as altitude in the latest edition of the European ICAO Charts 1:500 000. The upcoming changes were already announced officially via AIC VFR 6 (5 NOV 2009)
