The Aeronautical Chart ICAO 1:500,000 is the standard chart used for conducting VFR flights and shows the territory of the Federal Republic of Germany as well as parts of the bordering countries. It contains important information concerning topography and air traffic control. The reverse side shows an overview with the sectioning of the charts and the airspace structure.

This chart is of paper and folded.

Note: Due to European standardisation, the DFS Deutsche Flugsicherung will change a number of colors in the depitiction of airspace as well as altitude in the latest edition of the European ICAO Charts 1:500 000. The upcoming changes were already announced officially via AIC VFR 6 (5 NOV 2009)
